Biography

Ying’s area of interest is in physics and instrumentation on x-ray imaging of soft tissue. She has expertise on bent silicon x-ray diffraction, x-ray fluorescence imaging, spectral K-edge subtraction imaging and presently the micro-CT visualization of articular cartilage of osteoarthritis models. She is a mom of three and enjoys ballroom dancing and reading in her spare time. Dr. Zhu started as a postdoctoral fellow in the lab (2013-2017) prior to working as a Research Associate from 2017 to 2021.
